The project is a contribution to the struggle for children’s rights to education in their natural language. Signo’s project in China for bilingual education started in the Jiangsu Province in 2004. In 2006 it was expanded to include the provinces Sichuan and Guizhou.
The Palestinian Territories consist of two areas, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Signo wants to reinforce the rights to education for the deafblind, on an equal basis with the rest of society, and otherwise work for inclusion of the deafblind in society.
